Amal Nazzal is an Assistant Professor in the Business Administration and Marketing Department at the Business and Economics Faculty, at Birzeit University. She completed her Master’s Degree in MSc Marketing from University of Exeter in the United Kingdom in 2013, and then she was awarded the 'Ph.D. Scholarship in Organization Studies Award 2013/2014' where she received her Ph.D. from University of Exeter in the United Kingdom in 2017.
Her consulting competencies are marketing strategy, market studies, business plans, digital marketing strategy (SOSTAC), and digital transformation.
Dr. Amal Nazzal conducted different consulting projects with Palestinian research institutions, companies, and NGOs. In 2020, she consulted a large-scale market study to map all the entrepreneurship institutions in the West Bank, a project funded by the World Bank and organized by the Palestine Economic Policy Research Institute (MAS). She has also worked as a researcher and consultant with the Palestinian Agricultural Development Association (PARC) and a researcher with the Arab Centre for the Advancement of Social Media (7amleh). Moreover, Dr. Nazzal has given training in marketing and digital marketing, for UNRWA and the Centre for Continuing Education.
Academically, Dr. Nazzal lectures various courses at Birzeit University such as; marketing management, digital marketing, marketing research, and advertising, for both the Bachelor program and the Master program in Business Administration (MBA) since 2016. Moreover, she has researched social capital, social networking theory, digital ethnography, and social media content analysis. She is also interested in new research methods such as digital ethnography and social media content analysis, where she employed in her co-authored latest publication in the Journal of Business Research, and another publication (in preparation) in the Human Relations Journal. Currently, she is enrolled with the ‘Oxford Digital Marketing: Disruptive Strategy Program' organized by University of Oxford and Said Business School in the UK.
